About the Workshop:
At the crossroads of technology and art, this class provides everything you need to create your own geometric sculpture made from folded paper. Using your hands you will assemble laser-cut paper forms into a sculptural composition which is uniquely your own. In the age of instant gratification and automated everything, this is an opportunity to connect with your inner creative to produce a mesmerizing one-of-a-kind handmade piece of art.
About the Instructor:
My name is Eliza Redmann – I am a sculptor, architect, and founder of Folded Poetry design studio based in Durham. I am originally from Minnesota, and moved to the Triangle in 2013 to complete my Masters of Architecture at NCSU College of Design. When a car accident upended my health, personal life, and career as an architect, I was forced to reinvent myself. I found a way to utilize my creative potential for healing by creating art.
