Description

Reserve your seat in this workshop by enrolling here. All workshops will meet in the Rubenstein Arts Center, Studio 232.

Editing and Post-Production Tools:
This workshop begins with the filming of a short scene, and ends, if fortune smiles, with the completed edit, sound mix, color grade, and delivery of the scene.

This session will completely fail to teach students how to edit, mix, grade, and deliver their film, unreasonable goals for two and a half hours. But attendees will learn in detail what steps are required between wrapping a film and delivering it for screening and distribution, how to organize that work, applicable industry standard tools and their more accessible substitutions, and workflow options for different film genres and forms. It will also address how these workflows change with scope, from solo filmmaking to big-budget, fully produced work.

This workshop will cover the following:

Post-production workflow
Editing tools and techniques
Sound editing, mixing, and design
VFX
Color grading
Finishing, authoring, and delivery
